Behind

Recently, we had some friends invite us over to see some friends who were visiting from Japan. It brought back lots of happy memories.

During easter weekend we went to Arizona and unfortunately lost our car. But we got to see our family, and go to a friends shower. This was at a Thomas easter picnic. audrey-camille fed the ducks with dad.

Petting a lamb at the Easter Pagent

I usually love all things vintage and sweet for little Audrey..but as she was born in the time punk rock tutus -We payed some homage to a present from a friend, and the era of punk princess-the 80's.

Enjoying cousin time with savannah

As the spring weather has finally arrived in Utah, I haven't been wanting to a lot of blogging. I've had spring fever (literally too, my allergies have flared up.) and I just want to go outside. And enjoy all that this sunny weather has to offer. So blogging has become less exciting. Rick thinks its because I havent kept up on my running goal-but I dont mind admitting that I havent been doing as well on that. Running is not that fun when compared to zumba, boxing, biking, swimming, walking, basically anything else. But I am not giving up yet. But mostly I wanted to get some pictures up.

Goals

I didnt really set goals for March, except to lose 5 pounds which I did. So for the rest of April my goal is to go running four times a week and do pilates or yoga four times a week. And my next weight loss goal is 3 more inches by the end of May.

Williams-Sonoma Cooking Class on Beans and Grains

Yesterday I was in Williams-Sonoma enjoying all fun new spring gadgets and food ideas when the clerk told me they would be having a cooking class the next morning on grains! WHat? I just had to go. And let me tell you, I was not disappointed. They featured recipes with black quinoa, beluga beans, cranberry beans, and black sticky rice. I will feature some of the recipes on my cooking blog once I try them out at home.
Williams-Sonoma definately overcharges, so look for these fun beans at a bulk bin place such as WholeFoods, Sunflower, WinnCo, Asian Markets, or Sprouts. And finally for anyone interested in finding more bean recipes check out my cooking blog or more importantly this one
And for vegetarians with a sense of humor read this

this weekend

First we watched this.
It was good, but I found the characters stagnant. Paul schneider had some dimension and did a good job. Alright, but not a BBC masterpiece. Of course, Keats' poetry was lovely, and the english countryside breathtaking.
Then we watched this and loved it! Very heartwarming. And it featured the best music video of our favorite Queen song.
Two enthusiastic thumbs up.
